I don't know how it compares to the Prusa MK2 as I don't have one but based on the results others have posted, I would say they are similar. but it is still an FDM printer and it isn't perfect. My general consensus is that for the price, it's fantastic. I'm writing a review of the Cetus3D Extended right now, will likely have it done later today or tomorrow. 2mm nozzle than can share their results with me? So are there any Cetus owners here pushing the limits of there printer using the. The Cetus seems to have a fast learning curve compared to other printers which will be important in my work environment. I wonder how the Cetus slicer will handle my Solid Works solid models. Cetus is not open source but is making an effort to incorporate other slicers which sounds buggy at this point. It does seem to be made with high quality linear rails rather than rods. It's a new printer and doesn't seem to have a huge following. I did some research on the Cetus but didn't find much to verify the quality of it's product compared to other printers. My parts will fit in a 6" box and 2" max height. The person I'm talking with tells me a Cetus will produce top notch 3d pla parts with it's. Boss would not be happy with a printer that needs assembly so no kits. Originally I was looking at a Prusa but it looks like the wait time is like 2 months for an assembled unit. Currently we use pay someone to produce an SLA of our designs but would like to try 3d printing with some of our product. I work with plastic injection molding and we occasionally like to have a plastic part to show a customer a product or test a design before we proceed with making a plastic injection mold. Accuracy and finish and are my main attributes I need in a printer. I will be buying my first 3d printer and a friend of mine who has some experience in 3d printing is telling me that a Cetus 3D printer is the perfect option for my needs. I'm looking for Cetus owner who can tell me how it compares to other printers namely a Prusa MK2 in print quality.

It is compact by design, comprised of 6 core modules that it requires to operate. They have placed great emphasis on quality construction using only the essential components. The minimalist approach is the foundation of the Cetus3D and by far my favorite aspect of this printer.
